Bill MacDonald has practiced law in the Columbia Valley since moving to Invermere in 1977.  Mr. MacDonald is married with two children.

Mr. MacDonald’s practice is focused within the Columbia Valley on all aspects of Real Estate Development matters, together with Corporate/Commercial Agreements as well as Estate and Estate Planning matters.

Mr. MacDonald was joined in his practice by Kerri-Anne Thomas in 2005 and now practices under the name of MacDonald Thomas, Barristers and Solicitors.

Originally from Invermere, British Columbia, Kerri-Anne Thomas attended first year law school at the University of Victoria.  In second year, she transferred to University of Calgary.  She graduated from the University of Calgary near the top of her class in 1992. 

After gaining excellent experience articling and early practice experience with a highly regarded firm in Calgary, she began her own law practice as a sole practitioner in 1993.  Early on in her career, she focused on large commercial transactions, land law as well as business and general litigation. 

In 2005, she returned home to Invermere to practice with Bill MacDonald under the name of MacDonald Thomas.  She was called to the British Columbia bar in 2005 and continues to practice both British Columbia and Alberta law.  Her practice is focused on real estate conveyancing, land development, business, commercial and corporate matters, estates and estate planning.
